imediff2 software package provides interactive full screen 2-way merge tool, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install imediff2
imediff2 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the imediff2 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep imediff2 *
You will get with imediff2 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
